Gridded whiteboards help students draw complex graphs, plot points and find correlations with the freedom to make mistakes - without starting over every time. With an X and Y axis pre-drawn in the centre of the board, teachers can spend more time teaching the concepts that matter.
Whiteboard Construction
These flexible whiteboards are made from polypropylene to ensure they are durable to withstand classroom use, can be bent without breaking, and are easy to clean. Due to their flexible properties, they are much easier to store than rigid alternatives, and can be easily taken home in a backpack or bookbag for homework without snapping.
These Prestigelighting whiteboards are for use with drywipe pens. This means they will accept any standard whiteboard pens that you have around the classroom and can be erased easily using a damp cloth.
Gridded / Plain
These particular whiteboards are gridded on one side and plain on the reverse. They are designed for practising graph drawing and working out complex maths problems, with the whiteboard surface being ideal for erasing mistakes commonly made during these activities. In particular, they are best suited for more advanced graph drawing, including trigonometry, co-ordinates, plotting points and finding correlations, aided by the cross in the centre that marks out a permanent X and Y axis for convenience.
With squares measuring 1 cm in size – 28 on the X axis and 20 on the Y in total – small increments are possible, and various types of graphs are easy to draw with high accuracy.
As the reverse of these whiteboards are plain, they also provide space for additional planning, note taking or alternate activities - particularly in mathematics, science, or D&T classrooms. They are also ideal for games and quizzes when writing quickfire A/B, true/false, or yes/no answers on opposing sides.
