This is a

COPPER and BRONZE

SAMOVAR

In my estimation it dates from the mid 19th Century, but please make up your own mind about this.

The samovar measures approx 22 inches (560mm) tall and is made from copper and bronze throughout.

The elegant body stands upon an ornate, cast bronze base.

There are magnificent, cast bronze handles at either side of the body, which has a working, brass tap.

The lid is surmounted by a decorative bronze finial.

This beautiful samovar is in very good, antique condition, with light wear consistent with its great age, but no damage or repairs. (please see photos).

The urn holds approx 5 litres (8 pints), there are no leaks and the tap works as it should.

Complete with its iron "heater" weight.

A BEAUTIFUL PIECE OF 19th CENTURY DESIGN

It is a very fine example of its type and it would make a beautiful decorative piece, and be a great addition to any collection.
