Setup and Installation
During the final stage of quality control, the truss rod is adjusted to full tension to evaluate the neck’s capacity to withstand high stress. Once the neck is affixed to a body and strung, it is then set up by simply loosening the truss rod to match the counter tension exerted by the strings. This method is recommended as opposed to tightening a loose truss rod against the greater tension of the strings.
