Bronze Or Brass: ?? On the feet (where the patina isn’t building up) there is the slightest hint of an orange tint which means some tin content and falls into the bronze category. However the yellow is bright which is related to zinc and thus brass. Since it was sand cast, this means smaller setup, smaller retail expectations. Basically it could be either bronze or brass. It could be whatever the caster had on hand.

I’ve seen one other like this on E-EBay. Besides that one I haven’t seen these. Or at least I don’t come by them very often. You might be led to believe they are old because of the casting. No, not really it is a primitive type of casting but not something that can be specifically dated. The built up patina is an indication of age- but which age? It could be antique or it could be a 1970’s street-ware type product.
