QUALITY ENGLISH CARLTON WARE VASE
Presenting an exquisite vintage vase in the highly desirable Oxford pattern produced by the quality English makers, Carlton Ware.
This exceptionally attractive example has a perfectly proportioned form with a circular moon-shaped body leading to a tall, slender tapered neck.
Opposing sides of the body are beautifully decorated with an intricate design featuring an exotic bird floating atop a basket overflowing with ripe, luscious fruit.
The body of the vessel has been finished in a striking lime yellow glaze while lustrous gilt gold trims add a lavish touch of opulence to the sophisticated design.
SIZE: This impressive vase stands approx 190mms tall, measures 70mms in length and 40mms in width.
WEIGHT: This piece weighs 120 grams.
CONDITION: This vase is presented in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. There is no wear to the glistening gold trims and the pattern remains rich and vibrant. There is some light and fine overall crazing noticeable only on extremely close examination with a magnifier but mentioned for complete accuracy. This piece has been very well cared for and presents magnificently.
MARKS: This piece retains its original Carlton Ware paper label to the base which is mostly obscuring the gold coloured Carton Ware mark to the base.
