Vintage Diecast & Tinplate Clockwork Long Distance Coach,
Mettoy, GB, As Found.

A nice vintage diecast & tinplate clockwork Long Distance
Passenger Coach, with cream body, red tinplate seats, silver
tinplate chassis and black plastic wheels, made by the
Mettoy Co. of Gt. Britain in the 1950’s.

The coach measures 7.25 inches long by 2.5 wide and 2.5
inches tall, and is in very good As Found part-working
condition. The clockwork motor winds, but does not
release unless the key is wound back, or is held in
a fixed position, when the motor will slowly start to
unwind – it therefore needs some attention. No key
supplied, but easily obtained. It is marked under
the base with “Mettoy” and “Made in Gt. Britain”.

Payment by Paypal preferred, but I will accept payments from UK buyers by personal cheque or postal order. Payment by bank transfer will be considered, but only if the buyer pays the additional bank charges.

Shipping

I will send items worldwide but please note that all items sent overseas by Royal Mail (Small Packet) are only insured to a value of £22. Items that sell for more than £25 will now be sent by Royal Mail International Signed For or Tracked - this will cost extra (usually between £4.50 and £6.50 on top of the airmail price). Please contact me for details. Also note that due to items going missing or lost when posting to Italy, I will only post items to this location if the buyer agrees to pay the cost of the International Signed For postal service.
