1998 Melbourne) Painter and teacher; Studied at National Gallery of Victoria School 1925, George Bell School
1938-40 & 1956-61. Taught at Victorian Artists Society 1965 – 1979.
Influenced by Dobell and Nolan and the School of Paris artists from Modogliani
to Picasso. Awards include; Mornington Peninsula Art Prize 1967, Dean Prize
(VAS) 1970, Cato Prize (VAS) 1971. Exhibited at Hawthorn gallery 1977, private
galleries in Melbourne 1977-1989. His work is represented: National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne
University, USA, Europe and Regional
& Private Collections around Australia.
