Antique 18th C. Pair of Spanish Colonial White Bronze or Paktong Mugs Cups Engraved 


  • For your consideration is a rare and unusual pair of Spanish Colonial drinking vessels
  • Hand elaborated from white bronze or paktong in barrel shape with attached scrolled handles
  • Paktong aka white bronze is an alloy of zinc, copper and nickel, closely resembling silver. Initially developed in China, its use spread around the world through the trade routes and became available and even fashionable in the Spanish colonies by the 17th century 
  • Skilfully engraved foliate motifs
  • Very unique and rare period artifacts
  • Circa 18th century, possibly Peru or Mexico

  • Measurements: Approximately 4" tall x 4.75" across with he handle x 3.1" widest diameter (across) each one
  • The pair weighs 14 oz.
