  • Large coal shovel or peal, made from wrought iron with hoop at the end of the handle
  • Used for open fire cooking, both outside or around the hearth
  • Signed / marked at the handle with initials H.E. in brass 
  • Circa late 18th early 19th century, found in New England

  • Measurements: Approximately 27.5" long x 5.5"  x 0.75"
  • It weighs 2 lbs. 2 oz.

  • Condition: Very Good overall. Please see photos. Oxidation expected with age and use. One corner is chipped. All original.
