Antique ea. 1800' Cast Iron Mooring Anchor, Rare Shape
- For your consideration is a very interesting and rare antique anchor
- made of cast iron with one arm with a fluke and the other arm is bent / folded
- It was meant to be used for mooring in shallow waters, hence the rounded spike to prevent an eventual damage to the hull
- Wrought iron loop at the top
- Great Maritime and Naval History collectible
- Circa mid 19th century, Anglo-American
- All original
- Measurements: Approx. 36" high with the loop, 19" fluke to arm, 4" thick
- Weighs about 26 lbs.
- Condition: Very Good overall. Please see photos. All original and unaltered. Oxidation expected with age and use. Part of the original black paint still remains
