Dastun 240Z 1970-73 Hitachi 8 Track Stereo Tape Cassette Player & AM Radio OEM. This is an original OEM option - Nissan Part No. 29220-E4125. Essentially I do not know whether this unit will play a cassette without any issues as I do not have an 8 track cartridge. Visually, the case has no dents or rust and looking into the cassette hatch the tape head and playing mechanism appear to be very clean and in good condition - see photo. However, I would recommend that it is fully tested and serviced by a specialist technician prior to attempting to play a cassette. When connected to a 12v supply it does power up and the internal light operates. The plastic chrome front plate is structurally sound and the cassette door opens smoothly but its black paintwork needs to be restored. Also, the plastic display plate that sits behind it has split into two pieces and will need to be repaired - see photo. The knobs are in very good condition and fit tightly.
