DETAILS: Original candid photograph of Elizabeth Taylor, Marshall Thompson and Jane Powell at the opening of her fathers ice cream shop in Hollywood. In her book The Girl Next Door and How She Grew, Powell described that days events as follows: "We had a big opening for Daddy's store, Paul's Malt Shop, on Sunset Boulevard. My Hollywood friends showed up for the fan-magazine photographers and Daddy, Roddy McDowall, Elizabeth Taylor, Jerry Courtland, Darryl Hickman, Ann Blyth and many others were there. The shop was plastered with photos of various stars and me (especially me), which was very embarrassing and there were klieg lights, too, that night. It was really just an ordinary doughnut shop, but this was Hollywood  and Daddy's night. Everyone ate themselves silly, and the hot fudge flowed like wine. Elizabeth broke her skirt button and I broke out in pimples..." Measures approx. 8" x 10" inches.
