Offered for your consideration is this Antique Set of 3 Gillinder 1912 Frosted Flint Glass Shades. They feature recessed cut stars & pleats with a clear ribbed shoulder band and ribbed bottom border. Each one is clearly marked "GILLINDER | PAT OCT 1 - 1912". No chips, cracks, bruises or even flea bites! Beautiful set of 3 and they ring like flint ;) They stand 4-1/2" high, carry a 2-1/4" rim fitter and have a 4-7/8" bell flare. They each weigh in from 11.2 to 12.0 oz

William T. Gillinder, who was born and raised in England, founded Gillinder Glass in 1861, (162 years ago) in Philadelphia. In 1912, Gillinder Glass moved to Port Jervis, New York. Three Gillinder brothers, grandsons of William, purchased a plant formerly known as Orange County Flint Glass Works. The plant opened as Gillinder Brothers in January of 1913. Today, Gillinder Glass is owned and operated by sixth generation Charles Gillinder.
