Vintage Art Deco Yellow Silk Mermaid Scale Rhinestone Sequin Beaded T Back Flapper Dress

This amazing Art Deco vintage yellow silk mermaid scale rhinestone sequin beaded T back flapper dress dates from the 1920s. It is made of a pale yellow silk fabric, with white, silver, rhinestone beading and iridescent gelatin sequins hand sewn in a decorative mermaid scale design and floral roses. This fabulous flapper dress has a loose fitting straight shift sleeveless style with cutout T back, scalloped petal skirt hemline and is sheer, unlined. The dress measures 40 inches long, with a 40 inch chest, 40 inch waist and 40 inch hips. It is in fair as-is condition, has not been cleaned, with some discoloration, yellow stains scattered, underarm staining, several loose missing beads and the center scalloped petal on the back bottom hemline is frayed cut (see close-ups). A great restoration project, or could be upcycled and used for design inspiration or pattern. This is truly an exceptional piece of Art Deco flapper girl beaded wearable art!
