This is a good example of the Railway guards handlamp reservoir and burner assembly as used around the steam days of the 1940's . It stands 140 mm tall over the hinged carry handle. It has the normal slide fixing bracket to the the rear holding for a 24mm shaft in the lamp . Burner aperture is the 24 mm diameter - the reservoir body is only 69 mm diameter slightly smaller than the later BR. ones & the base is solid & the brass burner with a wick present - Please check the photos ..
Not often seen these days .
