1966 Jayco Beeline

Spring is here! Time to gear up for this year's camping adventures!

Before you read further--this camper does need some TLC. It's ready to roll, with new tires and wheel bearings and wiring, and a clean title--but it needs some touch up work if you want it to be 100% for camping.  Once I got it set up and safe for towing, it was too heavy to pull with my Subaru Outback, so I'm letting it go at a lower price rather than putting any more money into it to fix it up. The reserve price is the exact dollar amount I have invested in it.  I'm not looking to make a profit--just looking to find her a good home.

Kept in storage by the original owner and her family for almost 50 years, this head-turning little camper has been brightened up and given the opportunity for new adventures.

If you've been looking for a vintage camper to make your own,  you know how few of these Jayco Beelines are still around--let alone with so much of its original equipment--including a privy.

The couch in the back has storage underneath that can be accessed from a door under the couch and also from two outside access doors.

The couch pulls out and the foam cushions drop down to make a bed. It originally had a pull down bed above, which has been removed. All decor is included, and the back corner there is super cozy with the pillows and blankets. A countertop with a small TV sits at just the right angle to snuggle in and watch some shows before bed, or when you're tired of reading that great novel you brought along.  A shelf above the couch provides secure storage for your laptop or TV when you need extra counterspace.

The dining area has a table for use as an office area or for dining. I sat at it with my Rand McNally and planned out all kinds of road trips. The original table and its fold-down leg are included in the sale, but are not currently in use. I planned to remake the table top and to install a new brace on the wall eventually, but in the meantime, the original table fits down in between the benches to make a second bed if you need it.

She has a clean title.  Ready to Sign And Go. Plates registered in Illinois. New electric brakes, new wheel bearings, new tires, and new battery. New outdoor lights.  New mini fridge and microwave. All the electric works great. Roof recently re-sealed and new roof fan installed. New jacks welded to frame. New brake lights and cord. She's ready to hook up and go. Even with the Subaru Outback, it pulled like a dream.

Original heater, stove, sink, water tank, gray water tank, hose, and even the original propane lamp over the table. Original drain hose is included and stores inside the back bumper. The water currently runs on air pressure, but a water pump can be easily installed. The working, flushable toilet requires a portable black tank (which is not included) unless you have the know-how to install a permanent tank. The original door has the wheel on top to keep from tearing any awning you choose to install. The original awning rail is in place and ready for whatever awning style you choose. So many to choose from on the vintage RV sites!

Original baby moon cap covers. Everything inside is original except the fridge and microwave. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Toilet will need a portable tank. It is plumbed. I'm not sure if you can see the new PVC in the picture of the underneath.

Propane has not been turned on or tested. It needs a new regulator. I had planned to install an electric stove and electric heater/AC unit, so I wouldn't need to use propane at all.

Purchased from original owner (3rd Gen.)

Total weight is around 3,000 pounds. I had intended to live in this little camper for a year or so, but never had the chance to so much as try it out anywhere other than the driveway because once it was revamped, reinforced, and ready to safely tow, it became too heavy to pull with my Outback, so I have to let it go. Itโ€™s cozy and homey, and has very good vibes. I have no doubt it will find its way to the right person..

Sheโ€™s a rare little beauty, but she might need a little TLC before sheโ€™s ready to live in, depending on your needs ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š

See below:

The original steps into the camper are missing, there is water damage in one corner from before the roof was resealed (see pictures), it does not come with propane tanks, and it needs a new regulator. The original heating has not been tested or used (but I assume it would need repair or replacing after almost 60 years). I intended to install a roof heater/AC. A portable black water tank is required, but is not included, and one storage access door needs a new lock.

Located in Michigan City, IN, if you want to come and see her in person before purchasing.

It is parked in a safe, public location and will need to be picked up there.
