Very dainty and common fastening of a hook with marcasite fastener and back silver stamped, with the first 3 to 4 pearls string knotted, as common practice to protect the pearls around fastnening and neckline...

These have been kept away for many years and, I prefer it, they are a beautifully deep rich ivory/ pearlised colour?, I hope this can be seen on the photos, one against white background to see if you can see/grade the colour of the pearl against the white.

This is a vintage stringed real pearl necklace in excellent condition. There are tiny microscope scratches around the string, but this is expected, and normal, very hard to visible eye to see.

clasp in fine working order, velvet and leather boxed.

Chain is 17 inches long or 43cms, graduated pearls.
