For UK buyers, my postage charge is based on £3.69, the actual cost at the Post Office counter, then 51p to cover a new Jiffy padded envelope, card stiffeners, comic bag and the percentage of the postage taken by Ebay.

Combined postage - For buyers in the UK. I only need to charge you p&p for the first magazine. Any extra purchases will be sent at no additional cost - you only pay for that first magazine.

For overseas buyers, I aim to charge just the basics; the postage cost, the envelope and packaging cost, plus Ebay's surcharge, nothing more. To save money, please consider International Economy (surface mail). It's slower, but in some cases, only about half the cost of Airmail (International Standard).

Here is the Radio Times for 31 March - 6 April 1973. This is the Northern Ireland edition, sold originally for 5p.

The cover features the appropriately named Lucky, the cat who tries but fails to select the winner for The Grand National. Inside, a three-page feature looks at the race and the people and punters who adore it.

other features inside include:

  • a page and a half interview with film legend Charlie Chaplin, as a restored version of The Immigrant is shown on BBC1
  • Go For Gold is a comedy drama about long distance running, starring Ken Jones - two pages
  • a three quarters of a page interview with Muhammad Ali, who boxes Ken Norton that weekend
  • a one-page interview with leading author Richard Hughes, as The Fox in the Attic is dramatised for radio
  • a quarter page chat with Lynne Frederick
  • a one-page feature on Denis Matthews, who hosts the Radio 3 show Your Concert Choice
  • Jon Pertwee stars in part 6 of the Doctor Who adventure Frontier In Space. A thumbnail illustration accompanies the listing

The magazine is in generally good condition, clean and flat, with no clippings or annotations. However, in common with many magazines from this time, there's some transfer of ink from colour pages to adjacent pages, including the front cover. Please see the large selection of pictures.

Payment would be expected within seven days, unless organised in advance.

The magazine will be posted in a new Jiffy Mailmiser/Airkraft padded envelope with card stiffeners.
