Just in time for the holidays! This auction is for a very special RCA Nipper & Gramophone Delivery Van Bank by Ertl Co. of Dyersville Iowa model # 0398G. This bank features a locking key with door on the bottom. This is a very special item as it was only made in 1988 with a limited run of 2520 pieces. 

This rare item comes complete in the original package with plastic and it has never been opened or used. This item was purchased directly from the RCA Family Store in New York in 1988. This item was only available to RCA Employees and not available to the general public. 

This rare item is featured in several RCA collectors guides including my favorite “Nipper Collectibles The RCA Victor Trademark Dog by Joan and Robin Rolfs. It is listed on page 5 - 30 and described as Ertl Co. of Dyersville Iowa issued a series of model vans and trucks with the bold RCA letters and Nipper and Gramophone trademark. These metal vans and trucks were also banks to save your pennies for RCA products. The trucks are all in red, white and black color schemes made in China, except for the 1932 for delivery van which was made in USA. There is a information table that states the following:
