The solid 925 silver cap and whole pen body are decorated with Guilloche' engraving - vintage fine barleycorn bands. Guilloche' is a traditional way of engraving using the diamond cutting tools. It is a dying art as only few artisans are able to maintain these machines and perform beautiful vintage engravings.
Grifos Pen Company has a Guilloche' cutting machine in-house, thus allowing our experienced silversmiths to engrave on site, whereas few pen companies do
Guilloche' engraving within their own facility.
Our hand machine is a truly old Parker Company one dated 1930 we still use and keep on duty.
Our fountain pens are updated with double-use refilling system - both converter and cartridges can be applied. The pen is delivered with pumping converter inside and a set of 6 cartridges Waterman-Pelikan Standard type for gift that further can be bought in stationary shops all over the world ( or on internet shops as well) .
