Description -------  one (1), likely one-of-a-kind, handmade - this is a small, cubby-like, sorting box, carefully handmade from carefully detailed & shaped edges on the wood, looks like oak, nicely rabbeted, with small wire nails. Unfinished, as-made, but now with an old, worn patina of age and use.

I purchased this at the Princeton estate sale of the Barbara “Kristina” Johnson’s things, run by her daughter. Ms. Johnson was well-known, local character, and internationally known for her extensive whaling folk art collection. When I asked about this piece, I was told that Ms Johnson had purchased the entire inventory of a closed, small, old, Pennsylvania amusement park, and this cubby box was from there. I believe it was made specifically to hold amusement ride tickets. (The note taped to the base is the note I wrote the day I purchased it.)

It makes a great holder for washi tape, or other small items or miniature collections. Can stand on either short or long side, lay flat, or be hung (add your own hanging hardware)

Guaranteed as described.
