1978 Press Photo Bruno Leonardt stands ready to take a flight on his hang glider

This is an original press photo. Bruno Leonardt and James Osburne, right the glider after it has tipped on its side. Leonardt, below, became interested in hang gliding after seeing a television sports program on the development of a motor for the glider. Normal, unmotorized hang gliding is obviously difficult in flat places like Houston.Photo measures 9 x 6.5inches. Photo is dated 10-1-1978.
