The single-row vegetable planter consists of a supporting frame consisting of two parallel slats, on which the following are fixed: in the front part - a support-drive wheel; in the middle part - a brush seeding device with a seed hopper, a coulter and a wrapper; in the rear part there is a rolling wheel, as well as handles, which are attached to the frame by means of a bolt connection. A marker is installed in the back of the frame.

 

The seeding device is a body on which the following are mounted: a seed hopper with an adjustable rotary disc in the back, a coulter with a seed tube, a brush mechanism with a coulter valve drive, a wrapper.

The seeding device is driven from the support-drive wheel by means of a 

chain transmission. When the seeder moves, the rotating brush of the seeding

 device captures the seeds and directs them into the seed tube through the hole

 in the hopper5 and in the adjusting rotary disc. The seed is accumulated on the

coulter valve mounted on a double-armed lever that interacts with a finger disc 

mounted on the shaft of the seeder on the left side of the planter. With a certain 

periodicity (2 or 4 nests per 1 meter, depending on the setting of the finger disc), 

the seed is placed in the furrow made by the opener.

The furrow is closed with a wrapper and rolled with a rolling wheel. 

A marker set at the required row spacing marks the trail of the next pass of the

 coulter.

If dotted (row) sowing is necessary, the valve is fixed in the open position by

 means of a stop. Preparing the seeder for work includes setting the rate of 

sowing seeds, the number of nests per meter of the row, the depth of the coulter 

and the width of the row.

To set the rate of seed sowing, depending on their type and agrotechnical 

recommendations, it is necessary to fix the adjusting rotary disc in the rear part

 of the hopper in the right place;
