You are bidding on a used Dynaco ST-400 solid state power amplifier, gold faceplate; sold for parts/repair/not-working.  This is sold for either a restoration/repair project or as a parts unit.  It nearly complete with the exception of some missing screws, a missing fuse holder cap, both plastic transistor covers on the back (might be other small items, but I think that's it, study the pics), note it does NOT have the optional fan nor does it have the meter option.  This is in fair condition, missing some screws, fuse holder cap, plastic transistor covers, etc, it's quite dirty (inside and outside), has some rust, particularly on the chassis base (see pics), needs a good cleaning, needs all circuits checked out, needs to be completely tested and components replaced as necessary.  The faceplate is fair, some dings, scrapes, etc, the upper right corner of the faceplate has a slight bend (see pic), lower right might also be a little tweaked, hard to tell.  The chassis components could stand to be sanded/repainted etc.  This is clearly a restoration candidate and is NOT a plug and play unit.  We HAVE NOT plugged this in to test.  It is completely untested.  Please study the photos as they form a part of the description.  If you enjoy extensive audio restoration projects, here is your chance; once done you'll have a very nice and well regarded classic high power stereo amplifier.  Given its age and condition, it is being sold as is, no returns, know what you are buying BEFORE you buy it.  It will be safely packaged and will ship via UPS Ground so you must provide a street address upon payment.

Note we have some parts available such as new PC-28A bare boards, fuse holders, knobs, etc.  If you purchase any parts at the same time as the amplifier, we'll give you 10% off the parts AND the parts will ship for free, you only need to pay for the amplifier shipping charge.  Thanks for looking and be sure to check out our store for other items that may be of interest.

Vintage Electron Inc. possesses the largest inventory of NOS Dynaco parts available anywhere in the world, having purchased both the remaining warehouse inventory of the old Sound Values/Stereo Cost Cutters Inc. (SV/SCC) operation as well as the remaining inventory of the old Dynaco National Service Center.  SV/SCC was the company that purchased nearly 250,000 pounds of Dynaco parts when Dynaco closed it’s doors back in 1979; they also purchased the existing Hafler inventory from the Rockford Fosgate Corporation back in the early 1990‘s.  Quantities of some parts (both Dynaco and Hafler) are very limited as can be expected.  Vintage Electron Inc. has no affiliation with the old SV/SCC company and we do not provide repair services at this time for any of the Sound Valves brand products.  Please visit our store and search under the Hafler section for additional Hafler items, search under the Dynaco section for Dynaco items, and search under the Sound Valves section for Sound Valves items.  Thanks for looking at our listing and be sure to check out our other listings and auctions for other items of interest.
