World War II Patriotic Event Covers

The 1930's and the 1940's were the heyday of Stamp Collecting.  At no time in our history did we have more Stamp Collectors.  We even had a Stamp Collector in the White House and even the King of England was a Stamp Collector.

During World War II a entire new genre of Stamp Collecting was started with what is now called World War II Patriotic Event Covers.  These covers in most case celebrated US and Allied accomplishments in winning the war.

In the US these covers start with the US first involvement in World War II. Pearl Harbor and end with the Moscow Peace Conference Almost 6 months after the end of the War.

Covers were made by a variety of Cover Makers.  Fluegel, Stahle, Fidelity, Linto, Poppinger, Pent Arts, Cachet Craft, Ang, American Press, as well as many more.

Over 65 years from the end of World War II they covers are still highly sought after on both sides of the Atlantic.
