Slaters Rope Handle Tea Kettle

Fine, early and rare Royal Doulton tea kettle of ovoid form with fixed overhead rope twist handle with tassels and loop handle, raised upon a rococo scroll base. The pot is painted in colors with roses on a white ground within printed borders.

Measures

11 1/2" high to top of handle; 9 1/2" wide spout to handle

Marked Doulton Burslem, Doulton Slaters Patent, England and Registry No. 120210 with A5829 on the bottom

Excellent antique condition with what appears to be some small areas of extraneous paint smudging on the white ground. There is also one tiny bruise (chip) to the spout that is beneath the gilt and may have been done in the making or repaired long ago.
