The Canadian Volunteer Service Medal (CVSM) was awarded for 60 days service outside of Canada and was always awarded with a bar, represented by the maple leaf device. As far as I know, these are original devices as-issued, and appear to be .925 silver according to the patina. The patina is in varying states on the leaves, and they will be selected at random; the leaves in the photo are failry representative of the diverse and variable states of patina.
