This vintage antique Appenzell Swiss style embroidery whitework wedding handkerchief hanky has a 19th century look, but was likely made in China in the 20th century. It is made of a fine linen fabric completely covered with an Appenzell Swiss style embroidery whitework and "pulled" drawn thread cut work details. This exquisite embroidered bridal wedding hanky has a squared shape with scalloped edging, star shaped flower designs and hand stitching details. The handkerchief measures 11 by 11 inches and is in excellent unused condition. This is truly a wonderful piece of wedding handkerchief whitework embroidery art!
