The sign is in excellent vintage condition, having been kept, wall-mounted, in our smoke-free home for a couple of decades now. There are very minor surface enamel chips to the corners and a small nibble in the enamel to the top of the sign (see photos for details) However, as can be seen from the photos, this does not in any way detract from its beauty, which is very much intact.
It can be used as a noticeboard in an office / kitchen / study /hallway etc , due to it magnetic nature.
It is easily mounted on wood batons,, ready to be displayed in your home or office. The enamel is bright (malachite green )
and the lettering is clear and undamaged, making it a beautiful addition to any collection.
The sign was made in the United Kingdom by the SR company and is a perfect representation of the era. It is a rare find and a great addition to any collection of plates/ signs, hardware railwayana, or railwayana.
