Flower shaped oil absorbing scum sponge for hot tubs  spars or small pools.  Has great absorbent capacity.  The sponge can absorb about 40x it's own weight in oils and helps to reduce the formation of scum in hot tubs.


Just float it in the skimmer of the pool/spar or freefoat and the sponge will absorb dirt and grease from the water.  When clogged up with dirt/oil, just squeeze out the oil or clean with mild detergent and rinse thoroughly.



Storage


Keep the sponge clean- when it becomes dirty, use a neutral detergent, wash and dry in a cool place.  When it eventually looses its elasticity it will not recover its soft state after cleaning and will need replacing.  This depends on various factors including hot tub chemicals, sunlight exposure and amount of scum absorption.


The sponge will, over time, oxidise when exposed to the air and contaminants, resulting in a yellowing.  This is a natural phenomenon and does not limit the sponges ability to absorb oils.  When the sponge is out of the water it is advised to store in a cool dark, sealed bag.
