BACKGROUND

Pepsodent toothpaste originated in the US in 1915, with the company being acquired by Unilever in 1944. It was a very popular brand in the UK for the next decade, with a strong advertising campaign. Pepsodent is still on sale but lags behind brands such as Colgate and Crest. It is a brand that will have a nostalgic feeling for older buyers.
