The 2080-LC50-48QBB is a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) from Allen-Bradley. This controller is part of the Micro850 series of compact, packaged, or commonly referred to as shoebox-type controllers. This controller is designed for use in small and less complex applications as it comes with embedded features and slightly modular hardware. The 2080-LC50-48QBB comes with embedded input and output channels specifically, Twenty-Eight (28) 12/24 VDC discrete inputs; twenty (20) 24 VDC Sourcing outputs; Three (3) Pulse Train outputs, and Six (6) High-Speed Counter (HSC) inputs. It is also provided with one (1) USB 2.0 programming port and One (1) 10/100 Mbps ethernet Modbus communication interface. The 2080-LC50-48QBB has a user memory that can accommodate up to 10K program steps and up to 20Kbytes of program data. It supports the creation of user-defined function blocks as well as integrated support for motion instructions, Floating-Point 32-bit or 64-bit math, and PID control. Aside from Modbus protocol, this controller also supports ASCII and Common Industrial Protocol (CIP). The 2080-LC50-48QBB accepts the installation of up to Four (4) expansion modules. The embedded High-Speed Counter (HSC) inputs are compatible with signals operating at a maximum switching frequency of 100 kHz. To operate and energize this controller, it requires wiring to an external power supply that delivers 24 VDC supply voltage with an acceptable input voltage range of 21.4 - 26. 4 VDC.
