Native to Mexico, vanilla has been a beloved raw material of cooks and perfumers since ancient times for its intense aroma. Today the major producers are Madagascar, Indonesia and China but it has olfactory characteristics that can change considerably depending on the place of origin. Vanilla by Alyssa Ashley opens with sensual notes of white flowers leading to a creamy heart composed of vanilla, caramel accord and a veil of white rose petals. At the bottom, the vanilla heart is accentuated by the accord of powdered sugar combined with very soft musk.
