For sale is a large size 18th or early 19th century turned Maple wood Serving BOWL/dough bowl with original red stain. You can find dense turning rings on both the exterior and the interior of the bowl, which is a good indication of early turned woodwork. The top rim naturally waves, but no cracks or hairlines are detected. It looks and feels like a real primitive kitchen ware, not a reproduction for display purpose.

It is large in size. It measures 17” in diameter at the top rim (slightly off round by design), and 5.5” deep. Excellent condition. It is clean and dry, no odor, would display well on a large farm table at your home. There are age appropriate wears and smaller natural imperfections in the wood commensurate with age. Please check all photos for detailed condition.
