This is a vintage black wooden box measuring 6 inches in length and 5 inches in width and is 3 inches high.  It features beautiful ornate brass accents, brass hardware it is 3 inches long and 2 inches wide with what I believe is a jade carving on the top.  The measurements are not exact and the information regarding the time frame it was made, and the jade carving is based on information I found on the internet.  This box was made in the People's Republic of China sometime between 1949 and 1976.  Please see the photos for more details.
