·  Feedback rating  Please note that a seller can only give positive or no feedback to the buyer.  Sellers cannot give a positive or negative rating to buyers.  A seller does not know what the buyer has given for a star rating they can only see the written feedback left.  A seller only sees an overall star rating after 10 or more buyers have left ratings.  Sellers are also given perks for having a high star rating so most sellers try to do the best they can to keep their prices low and make a great buying experience for the buyer.  So please help keep the sellers happy that do their best to keep the buyers happy and the shipping cost fair.  You the buyer can always get the weight and size of your item when you receive it and go online to check the actual shipping cost from the shipping company if you feel that you were overcharged.

·  Free shipping cost.  No matter who sells anything there is always a shipping cost that is paid to the shipper there is NO such thing as free shipping.  Even though the listing says free shipping there is a cost to the seller and that cost is passed on to you the buyer so please don’t think that a seller also gets free shipping.  A seller that is a large company gets discounts from the shipper depending on their volume but sellers like me that have small volume don’t get those huge discounts.  Yes, eBay does give sellers a discount for using eBay.  If you have to return an item to me for a reason that is not my fault and I approve of the return you the buyer will have to pay that cost both ways.

·  The buyer needs to know about shipping cost is that it’s the shipping company that says what the shipping cost is not eBay or the seller.  Please don’t blame the seller for the shipping cost by giving a low score unless they overcharged you.  If the seller whether they are a small individual or some huge corporation were to make shipping free to a buyer the shipping cost is still paid by the buyer since it’s added to the total cost of the item.  What you need to know about the eBay feedback shipping and handling charges rating is, did the seller charge a fair shipping cost or was it inflated to make a profit on top of the selling price.  Example if your item cost $10.00 to ship and you were charged $8.00 to $12.00 you should give a 5-star rating for shipping and handling charges since you were not overcharged.  Please remember that a seller also has other costs attached to shipping your item such as tape, packing peanuts, boxes, labels and some have a monthly fee from their shipping program or service that they choose to use let alone gas, employees and time.  If a seller did not have to pay for shipping supplies, rent, electricity, labor, insurance, advertising and everything else that goes with having to sell items, the buyer would be able to buy items for a lower cost.  So, the buyer pays for it all including profit for the seller otherwise why sell items if there is no profit to be made.  If the item you purchased is worth $10.00 and shipping cost is $10.00 you would pay $20.00. Would you give the seller a 5-star rating or less?  If your item value is $10.00 but the seller listed it at $20.00 and made the shipping free, would you give the seller a 5-star rating or less?  In both cases you should give the seller a 5-star rating for shipping and handling charges as you still get the same item at the same cost.  Correct there is no star rating for a seller that uses free shipping I am just letting you know to be kind in leaving feedback.
