H/M 1909 Sterling Silver Pocket Watch Chain or Necklace w Fob Medallion 69.6g

 

This is a fob chain for a pocket watch that also has a more modern use as a collar length necklace for the elegant well-dressed lady. It is a half-length version intended for one side of the waistcoat, made up of tapered width curb links with the lion passant silver assay stamp. It has a T-bar at one end and a length of uniform curb link chain with a fob medallion. This is a heraldic shield shape with an inner 9ct gold shield and small flower decoration. It is unengraved and is hallmarked Birmingham 1896. The other end has a conventional leash clasp fitting
