This authentically vintage retro lamp base stylishly swells and tapers to create a wonderfully sculptural form which transcends function. The harmoniously balanced form is spectacularly finished in a rich and radiant glossy red glaze which is beautifully contrasted with dark charcoal black glaze forming horizontal bands which accentuate the high points of the ribbed / hooped form.
Bakelite fittings and original time-yellowed vintage cord compliment the period and help authenticate this is a genuinely vintage example.
This exceptionally bold yet wonderfully sophisticated lamp base is sure to add a vibrant pop of colour to any home!
SIZE: This impressive lamp base stands approx 310mms tall measured to the top of the period bakelite fitting and 220mms tall excluding the fitting and measures 115mms in diameter at its widest.
CONDITION: This lamp base is presented in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. The lamp is in working order but should be safety checked if intended for use. This piece has been very well cared for and presents magnificently.
