This sale is for a vintage naval collector plate made by Shenango China, then called Shenango Pottery. This plate is No. 5 of 12 in a series sponsored by The American Legion Auxiliary recognizing the exploits of the early years of the United States Navy. This one deals with the defeat of the Guerriere by the Constitution during the War of 1812. The plate measures 10.75 inches in diameter. It is in nice condition but has a couple of chips on the base in back. Please check out other plates in this series we are offering on eBay.
