A 4 3/4 inch tall clear-glass rectangular-shaped antique Tincture of OPIUM bottle that is both EMBOSSED and has the ORIGINAL FULL LABEL on it. The bottle is EMPTY, it has NO contents. Both the embossing and the label match, from the PARKE DAVIS CO. The label on this bottle is ORIGINAL to the bottle and the bottle is likewise an ORIGINAL ANTIQUE hand Blown Into Mold bottle (BIM) with a tooled top, dating it all the way back to the late 1800s - early 1900s period.

Bottle embossed on base: "P. D. CO." P D Co = Parke Davis Company.
Label reads in part: "COMPOUND TINCTURE of KINO and OPIUM, N.F. ... PARKE, DAVIS & CO..."
Condition: Bottle is in excellent clean condition. NO cracks, chips, dings, damage, etc. PLEASE see pictures for overall appearance/condition of the label.
Age: An ORIGINAL ANTIQUE hand Blown Into Mold bottle (BIM) with a tooled-top, ca. late 1800s - early 1900s.

A super hard bottle to find and a finite one. Only so many of these antique bottles have survived the elements of time with the original paper labels intact. It is rare to find original antique blown glass (BIM) bottles with ANY paper label on them, this one is especially nice in that it has held a tincture of OPIUM compound, as the label testifies to.
