Omega Geneve Megaquartz Gold Plate cal 1310 Ref 196.0038


Nice example of a very solid and chunky gold plated 1970s Megaquartz with a square face . The watch operates as it should, keeping excellent time to within 0.15 secs per day at time of testing. The bracelet will fit a 18cm wrist. The watch had a basic service in April 24 where the watch was checked over and new batteries and a brand new leather strap were fitted. Nb- The original omega strap and buckle (both badly worn) are include in the listing. The watch has not been worn since this time so is ready to wear.

Basic summary.

Case- stainless steel gold plated in good condition with some scratches and marks from use. See pics for details. The pushers for the date adjustment (bottom) and quick set seconds advance (top) operate correctly.

Crystal- nice clean glass crystal with some minor scratches visible under loupe.

Case back - . Stainless steel. Some scratches consummate with age. See pics internal ref 196.0038

Movement- nice example of an omega cal 1310 (see pics) movement reference number is 37@@@@@@ dating the watch to approx 1975. This is an early example of the 1310 movement. The movement is currently running well keeping time to within 0.15 secs per day (see pics) The day date change works correctly.

Dial- gold coloured dial with raised black/gold markers. Very good condition. Day date at 3 in English. The hands are black and gold in very good condition and appear to have original lume with nice patina.

Bracelet - brand new unworn leather black strap with croc leather effect. Gold coloured buckle signed omega.

Water resistance- not water resistant.

The watch will be sent in an Omega branded service case.
