Edwardian The Opera Dotted Swiss White Cotton Lace Trim High Collar Shirtwaist Blouse

This antique Edwardian era "The Opera" dotted Swiss white cotton lace trim high collar shirtwaist blouse dates from 1910. It is made of a white sheer fine cotton dotted Swiss fabric with tiny white raised embroidered polka dots, pintuck pleated details and lace trim inserts. This lovely lace shirtwaist blouse has a loose fitting blouson front style with a fitted gathered back waist, a lace trimmed high neck collar, gathered shoulders, puffed sleeves, mother of pearl button closures down the back, is sheer, unlined and has "The Opera" label Size 34 tag sewn on the bottom front. The top measures 22 inches long, with a 36 inch chest, 34 inch waist, 16 inch long sleeve, 14 inch back and 12 inch neck. It is in good condition, with a few tiny pin holes and breaks in the lace. This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable art!
