Three Antique silhouette cut out / drawings of an older woman and 2 younger women (possibly mother and daughters) Images are cut from black paper and embellished with what appears to me to be ink or paint for the hair and graphite on the bonnet and collars. The black paper silhouettes are cut out around the bonnet in top image and all collars where the embellishments are applied to the white (Now yellow) background heavy weight paper. Each image is on a 3.75 x 4-5/8” heavy stock paper and has been applied to mat with adhesive. Mat is approximately 10” x 11-7/8”. As stated, the background paper has yellowed and discolored with age, the mat also has discoloration. I cannot confirm the age of these silhouettes but my educated guess from research would be in the late 18th century to the early 19th century. Please ask any questions.
