1960’s Premier Twin - 8

Tube Chassis Only

Made in USA

I purchased this amp decades ago and never got around to fixing it up. I understand from the seller that these have become very popular for harmonica players and as a small amp for practice. It doesn’t come with tubes, knobs and any other parts you cannot see. We are selling this AS IS  for restoration or parts. We do not know if it is working but it does look like everything is intact.

The 1959 Premier Twin 8 is considered by many to be the king of harp amps. These Twin-8's are revered for their amazing saturated tube tone that is easy to achieve at low volumes, making them essential studio pieces for guitar and harmonica players alike! Crisp, clear mids and highs with tons of bark and presence are the essential qualities of this model's inspiring vintage tone. This unit also features a built-in tremolo circuit with a single speed/intensity control. The tube layout is 2x 12AX7 pre amp / 6V6 power / 6X4 rectifier. Inputs: 1 mic input, 2 instrument inputs Mic input is hotter.

Serial # 402667

 New York NY USA

Volume and Tremolo pots both have

140 6127

( 27th week of ’61 )?

I can only see the middle pot that says

300-7 and  “6038” as the pot is turned inward.

**It might serve the buyers purpose to bring up the power slowly with a variac since these amp heads are over 50 years old and have not been used for a few decades. Please remember these are vintage pieces, we cannot guarantee that they will not need service or more parts in their future, only some obvious parts were changed to get it working, most are still the original old parts remaining. Thank you. ***
