This model was sold in limited quantities only at Daimaru Fujii Central in Sapporo, and was unavailable anywhere else. Comes in a special paulownia wood box.

Unlike cheap lacquered souvenirs, these are made with great care using a generous amount of natural lacquer. The texture of the luster is different.
It could be called a work of art. There are other similar products made by lacquer studios using commercially available products, but this product is an official collaboration with Mitsubishi Pencil, so I think it is extremely rare.

This is a masterpiece pencil with a genuine lacquer finish, jointly produced by Mitsubishi Pencil and Daimaru Fujii Central. The surface is finished with natural lacquer from the undercoat onwards (three coats, two polishes). Because it is hand-painted, each pencil has a different texture. The cherry blossom pattern is made of pure gold and finished with the lacquer technique.
