I recently acquired a large trove of military themed photographs. Many are of Fort Armstrong, Honolulu and the coastal artillery. One has a 1925 date on the back. There are other photos of places in California, the Panama Canal, Panama City, Guam and the Philippines. The photos were loose. Some had been removed from an album. There are no names to help identify the service person who took or collected them. I'll be listing them individually or in groups.

This auction is for 2 vintage photographs of the USS West Virginia BB 48, Hawaii, c. 1925. Photos measure 5 3/4 X 3 1/2 inches. Photos are torn. Both are in Fair Condition.

"In 1925, the USS West Virginia (BB-48) participated in joint Army-Navy maneuvers to test the defenses of the Hawaiian Islands. Following this, she embarked on a significant cruise, visiting Australia and New Zealand. The ship continued its fleet exercises, ranging from Hawaii to the Caribbean, the Atlantic, and even Alaskan waters. These training exercises provided invaluable experience for the battleship’s future role in the Pacific during World War II."
