Victorian Antique Ayrshire Whitework Embroidery Lace Women's Bed Cap Bonnet

This Victorian era antique Ayrshire whitework embroidery lace women's bed cap bonnet dates from the early 19th century. It is made of a sheer white cotton muslin fabric with hand embroidered whitework, small eyelets, satin stitch, beading stitch and fine lace filling stitch inserts. This lovely lace women's boudoir bed cap morning bonnet hat has a form fitting skull cap style, adjustable drawstring gathering on top front, bottom back, tie straps to secure under the chin and is sheer, unlined. The cap measures 6 inches tall, 6 1/2 inches deep and 12 inch around the front opening. It is in excellent condition. This is truly a wonderful piece of antique Victoriana whitework wearable art!
