A really beautiful large signed Oil on panel by Paul De Laboulaye depicting a view of Provence. The work is on panel and in very good condition and signed lower right. His work is well collected - he was a disciple of Maurice Denis and his work can be found in the Museum of Modern Art in Paris.

Paul de Laboulaye was a follower of Maurice Denis at the Ateliers d'Art Sacré. His work is a good example of the attempt to combine traditional art with more modern trends, as initiated by Segonzac and continued by numerous painters, including Aujame and Berthomé-St-André.
