This is a rare, original FIRST EDITION/FIRST PRINTING paperback of Hunter S. Thompson's
The Curse of Lono. This is the originally published work by Bantam Books, NOT the later edition by Taschen. It features the dynamic and energetically-charged drawings of Thompson's frequent collaborator Ralph Steadman. This book has gone in and out of print since it was first published in 1983 and is a highly sought-after item by Hunter S. Thompson fans.
Under the title on the copyright page reads "A Bantam Book / November 1983". At the bottom is the full number line which reads "WAK 0 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1".
This copy is in EXCELLENT pre-owned condition. The front and back cover have mild scratches that are barely noticeable. Slight soiling/toning from normal use present on front, back, and spine. Normal reading wear on spine with a line running down the length of the spine. Minor wear and discoloration to head and tail of spine. Minor wear to corners, but in good shape. Binding tight and secure. See pictures.
Most pages clean, crisp and free of any markings or tears. Slight soiling on page 38, see picture.
