Atlas BRUNONIA Antique Sewing Machine 1880s vintage size H30cm x W42cm x D23cm

Description

This is an Atlas BRUNONIA antique hand-cranked sewing machine 1880s.

This is a gun-type hand-cranked sewing machine made by Atlas of Germany circa 1880, over 140 years ago.
It was sold in the UK as Brunonia, but was originally manufactured by Atlas in Germany.
The elegantly decorated legs supporting the shiny body, the attention to detail, and the artistic quality of the sewing machine.
This gorgeous sewing machine was expensive at the time.

â– Condition
The black paint is peeling off in places.
It has been disassembled, cleaned, rust removed, polished with sewing machine oil, reassembled, and lubricated. The handle, needle, bobbin, bobbin removal, and lower thread winding are all in working order.
The top of the machine can be opened by pushing the knob on the front. When the button is pushed, the bobbin pops out normally. This is a very rare and practical sewing machine. It is very likely to be able to sew by adjusting the threading and other adjustments. We do not know how to handle such an old sewing machine. Please understand. The machine is made in Germany about 140 years ago, so it has a sense of presence as an object.
There is an engraving on the sliding plate on the top panel, which is faded, and there is also a Japanese engraving on the plate in front of it.

Please check the pictures for details. The photo shows a yellowish color due to lighting, but the actual item looks more black and silver.
